Softing receives Frost & Sullivan award

Softing Industrial has received this year’s Frost & Sullivan European Award for Enabling Technology Leadership in the production analytics industry.

Frost & Sullivan’s global team of analysts and consultants continuously research a range of markets across multiple sectors and geographies and identify companies that continually invest in new technologies to deliver a unique and superior customer experience or enhance an array of applications. Against the backdrop of this research, “Frost & Sullivan is pleased to recognize Softing as the Enabling Technology Leader in the production analytics industry,” says David Frigstad, Chairman Frost & Sullivan.

Today, manufacturing is facing a period of automation driven by the Internet of Things. Consequently, analysis of industrial data is becoming crucial to optimize assets and improve reliability, productivity and overall organizational efficiency. Softing successfully leverages this trend while providing industrial data intelligence solutions that drive operational efficiency with advanced analytics. The Industrial Internet of Things is transforming how businesses work by enabling real-time insight into operations. One of the challenging ways organizations are gaining more insight and value from data is the architecting for analytics at the “edges” of their environments. “We are proud to be recognized by Frost & Sullivan as a trendsetter in the industry for edge-based stream analytics solutions and services, driving operational efficiency,” says Wolfgang Trier, CEO of Softing AG.

Softing recently introduced its dataTHINK analytics solution for real-time, data-based production optimization, allowing for on-site streamed production insight. Users benefit from dataTHINK as it solidly eliminates unsolved disruptions and reduces scrap while optimizing plant performance and contributing to increased revenue and cost efficiency. dataTHINK software uses current machine learning procedures, such as anomaly detection and time series analyses to detect outliers and prevent unexpected situations efficiently. It is easy to install and based on open standards (e.g. OPC UA). dataTHINK allows companies to respond quickly to market challenges and use resources more efficiently to enhance business performance and gain competitive advantages. Furthermore, Softing runs joint workshops and conducts a proof of concept for companies that need data-based production optimization support.
